TOMS

For my birthday present, my generous sister bought me a pair of TOMS shoes. And I must say, my my my, they are the comfiest shoes in the world! I've been loyal to Sanuk but now that my easily worn out feet has tried on some TOMS, I think I'll always be partial to TOMS from now on. I highly recommend them for travel or any activity requiring lots of walking.

A nice fact about these shoes is that for every pair that is purchased, TOMS will give a pair to a child in need. It's their ONE for ONE movement. To learn more about TOMS, visit this site http://www.toms.com/

P.S For those people who haven't given their birthday presents yet, I would gladly accept a pair of TOMS. =)

A Must-See

The September Issue is a documentary that follows Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour as she prepares for the September 2007 issue of the magazine. After watching it, I say I wanna be Anna Wintour! Everything in the fashion world seems to be under her command. With her signature bob and sunglasses plus a simple nod or stare of what outfit ought to be 'killed' or not, she is one powerful woman. She actually reminds me of Meryl Streep's character in The Devil Wears Prada.

'There is something about fashion that can make people really nervous,' Anna said in this documentary. Quite true. If it were not, then people would not go to whatever ends to look their best for a party or even a simple gathering.

Magazine publication is quite a complicated process let alone being the editor-in-chief of the world's most-respected magazine. If you want to be amazed, watch it.

The Quantum Science Necklace

A good friend of mine lent me her Quantum Science Necklace. Now what is the Quantum Science Necklace? Here's the product description on FusionExcel's site:

"FusionExcel’s Quantum Pendant is made from natural minerals that are fused and structurally bonded together at a molecular level. It produces scalar energy that helps to enhance the body’s biofield. The Quantum Pendant promotes positive flow of energy and helps to maintain energy balance. It helps to restore energy that has become weak in the body. By restoring the energy balance in the body this pendant helps one to maintain health and well-being."

Health Benefits

* Reduces inflammation
* Promotes unclumping of cells
* Enhances circulation
* Enhances immune and endocrine systems
* Has the ability to destroy viruses and bacteria
* Enhances cellular nutrition and detoxification
* Enhances cellular permeability
* Increases energy
* Helps to protect DNA from damage
* Helps to retard the ageing process
* Helps to fight cancer cells
* Strengthens the body’s biofield preventing
electro-magnetic waves from affecting one’s health
* Increases focus and concentration

I've been wearing the necklace for three days already. The first day I wore it, I was shivering and  felt really cold (which is quite weird since it's summer). The next day, I peed a lot.

There are some posts about the Quantum Science necklace's validity. Some say it is a scam, some say it isn't. One thing's for sure though, for every pendant you buy, a portion of the money is donated; buy a pendant, help the children.

And there's no harm in trying. I shall update you later about any significant sensations.

Cute Ukay Finds

My sister and I started doing UKAY-UKAY because when you go to one, you'll never leave the store without a piece of clothing bought. Secondly, there's the thrill of buying a one-of-a-kind outfit that when you wear it, you won't have to worry about having the same clothing worn by the girl who just passed by or the one sitting at the the next table.

Here are some cute Ukay finds, each for 50 pesos. I think these are from Japan coz the label's got Tokyo or a Japanese-sounding name.

I like the buttons on this one.

Just a little alteration, ironing and shoulder pads, and this would look Serena Van der Woodsen-ish.

I like the ruffles on the bottom.
